It’s not your age.
It’s your hormones.
You used to feel
sharp, strong, and driven.
Now, it’s like you’re moving through life with the brakes on.
- You wake up tired.
- You push through brain fog.
- You crash after lunch.
- You run on fumes by evening.
- Your fuse is shorter.
- Working out is harder.
- You can't muster the drive you used to have—for work, for life, and in the bedroom.
Your hormones may be calling the shots.
Hormones control more than most people realize—our energy, metabolism, mood, focus, sleep, and even motivation.
We talk to men and women every day who feel like they’ve slowly lost their edge. Here’s what we tell them: This doesn’t have to be your new normal.
How we help.
At Elevate MD, we take a safe, conservative approach to hormone optimization. Here’s what that means for you:
Licensed providers.
We’re licensed medical professionals—MDs and nurse practitioners—who specialize in hormone optimization. Our approach is natural where possible, medical where necessary, and always backed by science.
Paced protocols.
Before introducing hormones gradually, we first prepare your body to use them effectively. This proprietary approach, refined over 10,000+ patient journeys, consistently delivers better results with fewer side effects.
Bioidentical hormones.
These aren’t synthetic substitutes—they’re molecularly identical to what your body naturally produces, meaning you’re not adding something foreign, just restoring what’s meant to be there.
See what's happening in your body.
This 50-minute webinar explains what really happens to hormone levels at different stages of our lives, and what you can do about it.
WHAT WE HEAR FROM WOMEN BEFORE HORMONE OPTIMIZATION
WHAT WE HEAR FROM MEN BEFORE HORMONE OPTIMIZATION
Sound familiar?
Book a free consultation.
If you choose to move forward after the consultation, we’ll send over lab orders to get a full picture of your hormone levels. Then, in a relaxed 60-minute follow-up, we’ll connect the dots between your symptoms and numbers and walk you through a personalized plan to help you feel like yourself again.
Because you're not fine.
Most doctors will tell you the symptoms you’re experiencing are just “aging.” They’ll run incomplete labs, shrug when everything comes back “normal,” and send you off with the same tired explanations:
You’re fine.
You’re just getting older.
Maybe try an antidepressant.
The truth is, just because hormonal dips are common doesn’t mean they’re normal. Below, we cover other misinformation and frequently asked questions.
How do I know if my symptoms are related to hormones?
The short answer? If you feel “off”—tired, sluggish, gaining weight, struggling with focus, low sex drive, or just not as sharp or motivated as you used to be—there’s a good chance your hormones are playing a role.
Most people assume these symptoms are just part of aging, but they’re actually signs that something in your body isn’t working the way it should. The best way to know for sure? Test. We run comprehensive lab panels—way beyond what most primary care doctors check—to see exactly what’s going on under the hood.
Is hormone therapy safe? Does it cause cancer?
Yes, hormone therapy is safe—when done correctly. The idea that it causes cancer comes from an outdated study that was widely misreported and misunderstood.
In 2002, the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) study suggested that hormone therapy increased breast cancer risk by 26%. But here’s what that actually meant:
- For women not on hormone therapy, three out of 1,000 were diagnosed with breast cancer each year.
- For women on hormone therapy, that number was four out of 1,000—just one additional case per 1,000 women per year.
That’s a 0.1% difference, but because it was a 26% relative increase, it sounded much scarier than it actually was.
And there’s more—the study used synthetic hormones, not bioidentical ones. It also focused on women who started hormone therapy years after menopause, when their bodies had already been without hormones for a long time.
What we know now is that bioidentical hormone therapy, started at the right time and monitored correctly, does not increase cancer risk. In fact, for many patients, it may actually lower the risk of certain cancers, heart disease, osteoporosis, and cognitive decline.
At Elevate MD, we take a safe, conservative approach. We use bioidentical hormones that match what your body naturally produces, we start low and adjust carefully, and we monitor your levels closely to keep you in the optimal range for health and longevity.
The real risk isn’t hormone therapy—it’s ignoring symptoms and letting your hormone levels crash. If you have concerns, we’re happy to go over your personal risk factors and what makes the most sense for you.
How much does it cost?
If you decide to move forward after your free consultation, the cost is $550 to do comprehensive lab testing and review your results in a 60-minute session with our nurse practitioner.
Ongoing treatment starts at $625 per quarter, which includes your standard hormone therapy, follow-up appointments, and regular lab work. If you prefer to pay annually, you’ll receive a discount.
If additional treatments or medications are needed beyond the standard protocol, those are available at an additional cost.
Do you take insurance?
We don’t accept insurance for hormone therapy, and here’s why: insurance companies don’t cover the comprehensive testing and customized treatment needed to do this right. They base coverage on outdated research, limit which labs can be ordered, and often deny treatment unless you fall into a narrow, pre-approved range.
The truth is, most doctors who take insurance won’t test or treat hormone levels until they’re at crisis levels. By then, you’re well past the point of feeling “off”—you’re dealing with severe symptoms that could have been prevented.
At Elevate MD, we focus on optimization, not bare-minimum medicine. Our approach is based on what’s best for you, not what an insurance company is willing to cover.
That said, many of our patients use HSA/FSA funds for their treatment. We’re happy to provide a detailed receipt if you’d like to submit a claim for reimbursement, though coverage varies by plan.
What’s the difference between bioidentical and synthetic hormones?
Bioidentical hormones are molecularly identical to the hormones your body naturally produces. That means your body recognizes and processes them the same way it would if it made them itself.
Synthetic hormones, on the other hand, are chemically altered versions that are similar but not an exact match. Because of these structural differences, synthetic hormones can behave unpredictably in the body and often come with a higher risk of side effects.
At Elevate MD, we only use bioidentical hormones because they are safer, more effective, and better tolerated than synthetic options. You’re not adding something foreign—you’re simply restoring what’s meant to be there.
Do you offer hormone pellets?
No, we don’t offer pellets—and here’s why.
Pellets work by delivering a big dose of hormones all at once that’s supposed to last for months. But your body doesn’t work that way. Imagine eating a huge Thanksgiving dinner and then not eating again until Christmas—that’s essentially what hormone pellets do. You get a big surge of hormones at first, but as they wear off, your levels drop unpredictably, leaving you with big highs and big crashes.
At Elevate MD, we take a more controlled, steady approach with bioidentical hormones that allow us to adjust your levels gradually and precisely—so you feel balanced every day, not just for a few weeks after a pellet is inserted.
How long does it take to feel a difference?
It depends on the person, but most patients start noticing improvements within a few weeks, with full effects developing over three to six months.
Some changes—like better sleep and improved energy—can happen quickly, while others—like weight loss, muscle tone, and mood stabilization—take more time as your body adjusts.
Because we take a gradual, measured approach, we fine-tune your treatment as we go. The goal isn’t just to feel a little better—it’s to get you feeling like yourself again and keep you there.
What lab testing do you do, and what makes it more comprehensive?
Most doctors either don’t test for hormones at all or check only one or two markers—often missing the bigger picture. They’ll look at TSH for thyroid, total testosterone for men, or estrogen for women, and if those numbers fall within a wide “normal” range, they assume everything is fine. But “normal” doesn’t mean optimal.
At Elevate MD, we take a much deeper dive to uncover what’s really going on. Our comprehensive lab panel includes:
- Full thyroid function panel – Not just TSH, but Free T3, Free T4, Reverse T3, and thyroid antibodies, which help diagnose thyroid dysfunction that often gets overlooked.
- Total & free testosterone – Most doctors only check total testosterone, but free testosterone is what your body actually uses—and that’s the number that really matters.
- Estrogen & progesterone – Critical for hormone balance in both men and women, yet often skipped in standard tests.
- Prolactin levels – Can reveal pituitary issues or hidden imbalances that impact hormone production.
- Cortisol & stress markers – Because chronic stress can sabotage your hormones and energy levels.
- Vitamin & nutrient levels – Vitamin D, B12, and ferritin (iron storage) are key for energy, yet many doctors don’t check them.
- Comprehensive metabolic panel & blood count – Gives insight into inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, and overall metabolic health.
By understanding this fuller picture, we can create a precise, personalized plan to restore your energy, metabolism, mood, and overall well-being—without guesswork.
